BCMM announces road closures for the New Year’s Day

The Buffalo City Traffic Department would like to inform all about the planned road closures during the New Year’s Day Operations.

Any vehicles found to be causing obstructions or parked in residents’ driveways will be towed away. Strict Law Enforcement will be exercised against offenders.
Road Closures
The following intersections will be closed off on 30 December 2018 at approximately 13H00.
The closures will remain in place from 30 December 2018 up to 2 January 2019 or as decided by the JOC.
 Quigney:
1. Inverleith Terrace at Esplanade
2. Cadwalan Street at Aquarium Road
3. Longfellow Street at Marine Terrace
4. Moore Street at Marine Terrace
5. Buffalo Park Drive at John Baillie Road
6. Mc Janet Drive at John Baillie Road
7. Link Road at Marina Glen
8. Moore Street at Fitzpatrick Road
Traffic Free Zone:
• From the Aquarium to Marina Glen including Moore Street to the Holiday Inn and the Traffic Circle at John Bailey Road will be a traffic free zone
• Access to Ebuhlanti braai area will be via Buffalo Park Drive John Baillie into Lin Road. Limited Access
• Marina Glen / Ebuhlanti
• Caravan Park next to the East Cemetery.
• Border Cricket Grounds next to the B field.
• Public open space at Tennyson & Fitzpatrick Road.
• Public Open space at Tutton Terrace & Fitzpatrick Road.
• Orient Theatre parking
• Court Crescent and Cadwallan Road (Emergency Vehicles only)
• Drop off zone – Buffalo Park Drive and Moore Street
• Pick up zone – Moore Street at Court Crescent.
• Drop off zone – Buffalo Park Drive.
• Pick up zone – Buffalo Park Drive / Esplanade.
 Beacon Bay
• Nyala Road at Kiaat Road
 Nahoon
• Nahoon Reef Road at Epsom Road
• Beach Road at Rosyth Street
• James Pearce Park
 Gonubie
• Main Road at Quinera Road
• Riverside Road at Cane Street
• Recreation Road at Meier Street
• Main Road at White Street
• Oceanway at Smith Street
• Quinera Road at Mzamomhle Location
