MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO GXILISHE FAMILY

From: Cdes Stone Sizani, Humphrey Maxegwana, Mahlubandile Qwase, Comrade Noxolo Kiviet

A revolutionary has seized to exist, an unsung hero and a selfless cadre is no more. We dip our revolutionary banners to this young towering figure of our lifetime.

In the last few days, we had an opportunity to listen to the friends and comrades of Cde Bongani Gxilishe who eloquently articulated his revolutionary activism and profoundly characterised the African National Congress as a parliament of all the people of South Africa, a true representative of our future, the negation of the divisions and conflicts that racial arrogance and capitalist greed have imposed on our people.

We wish to express our heartfelt condolences to the family of Comrade Bongani, to his wife – Thamie, to their lovely children, family members, friends, comrades who have shaped his being and to all our people who feel bereaved by his departure. His family loved him so dearly, and that has been shown during the time of need. However, they surrendered him to the revolutionary struggle because they loved the ideals of the African National Congress as a national liberation movement. Today as we grieve with them, they should be proud of him and of his life.

To the mourners who are gathered here to make their pledge in public, or in the silence of their hearts, please release his soul because no one would have taken the pain that he had to endure during his last moments. Kufa wena ulutshaba. Mkhululeni uMthembu, Mkhululeni uYem-Yem uMadiba ayokuphumla ngonaphakade sohlangana naye kwelizayo.

Farewell our dear brother,

Farewell our dear comrade,

Uhambe kakuhle Soja leNkululeko
